During the Opening Ceremony, also called “Garden of Nations, each jurisdiction will have 10-15 representatives who will march in and designate a flag bearer, Faanoos holder and cube holder. The remaining delegation will be seated with artists and athletes from their respective jurisdictions under the guidance of volunteers.
Once they march in, there will be a voiceover explaining facts about the jurisdiction and a few people on stage portraying cultural elements. Once the delegation completes their route, all the artists and athletes from that jurisdiction will be asked to stand up and the audience will cheer them on.
Similarly for the Closing Ceremony, there will be a modified parade featuring a delegation also called the “Unity Parade”. This time, 10-15 representatives from each genre of sport and art will parade in, and we will be arranging the seating so that all artists and athletes will be seated by their respective art or sport. Once the delegation of representatives marches in and completes their route, all the participants of the genre (e.g. all cricket players) will be asked to stand up and the audience will cheer them on.
